Hi and welcome to my little space on the world wide web. My name is Dave, I'm 27 and the QTH is Wrexham, N Wales. I have a 4 year old son named Jack and a 7 year old step daughter named Diana..
I have been "playing radio" for 13 years now and am still fascinated by it. I wanted to take my hobby of radio one step further and took my M3 Foundation Exam at Southport & District ARC with my friend Andrew 2E0ZMO last October 07 and was licensed M3VSG on 1st November 2007. Now after a year of being licensed as an M3 I am pleased to have passed the Intermediate exam on the 29th November 2008.
I have just recently moved from Mold to Wrexham and currently have no station setup at home. I have a Yaesu FT-857D and an Atas 120A for using whilst mobile. I also have the Icom IC-2820 D-Star fitted in the works van & Icom IC-E7 handheld. You can also find me playing on CQ100 which can be found at www.QSONET.com.
I have created a radio forum called QSO UK www.QSOUK.com. The forum is now in its third year with members from all over the world. I am also pleased to say we have just purchased the domain for this year... My aim with the forum is to have a main information point where people can talk about any radio topic, problems and more.
From the 2nd October 2008 I was made Secretary at the Mold & District ARC and try to attend weekly.
Thanks for looking at my website, feel free to leave a comment in the blog on your way out,
73 De Dave.
welcome to the world as seen through my eyes
